As someone who has been following treasure since pre-debut, I can tell that hyunsuk does a lot for the group behind the scenes that he doesn't get appreciated for therefore it's so wonderful of junghwan to express that appreciation. I think everybody knows and sees how Junghwan is so mature for his age, even the members would agree. But what I like about him is that he is not the stereotype kpop maknae. He acknowledges that he is the young one in the group and needs guidance from older members, and when they baby him he recieves it well and smile to it. For the most part, he likes the attention as a maknae thats why other members dont feel the need to stop baby-ing him. I’ve known Hyunsuk since MIXNINE (and he’s always been one of my biases no matter the show) and I was introduced to the wonderful Junghwan through YGTB. It’s crazy to see how much they’ve grown Honestly it’s been a while since I’ve watched Treasure stuff and I was shocked hearing Junghwan’s voice so damn deep! Holy shit he’s becoming an adult??? Crazy stuff to me But they’ve both grown so well, it makes me emotional. I remember when Hyunsuk was always the younger one in the group, all the way back in MIXNINE surrounded by hyungs and being the middle child in YGTB. And now he’s the oldest. It hurts my heart to see him talk about using pain and struggle as a benchmarked for achievement and success, but I get it. But Junghwan is also correct, the human body can’t run like that forever. You have to take care of it well I remember the chaos of YGTB. All the hate, all the drama and scrutiny. I was deep in it feeling drained every single damn day, watching the fanbase destroy itself from the inside as all survival shows do. And I remember worrying about the contestants so much, wondering how much they have to absorb the hate. I want Junghwan and Hyunsuk to walk a flower path free from all of that, where they have the peace and mind to take care of themselves as they grow
