@@Blah-Blah-Blah143 I think experimental meaning unfamiliar or unique sounds blended together to create one song. The beats of the pre-chorus vs. the rest of the song sounded like two different songs blended together. An example of a kpop group who does experimental songs is NCT.

@@laceyharrison384 OK thanks for the clarification of 'sounds' from your perspective. If you were talking about songwriting structure in the Kpop landscape that would be a whole other discussion. As for beats of pre-chorus vs the rest of the song sounding like 2 different songs blended together, sometimes it works well, sometimes it doesn't but it's not unusual for songs to have verses, choruses, a middle-8, bridge, tempo or key change and/or an instrumental break or instrument solo arranged to add light and shade, and a hook to add interest to a song. If they didn't then a song wouldn't be a vehicle for musical storytelling, it would be a boring plod that went nowhere wouldn't it? Like listening to a washing machine. 😂
